Radiology Department Highlights
- Variety of exams performed
- Comprehensive Stroke Center, Trauma Center, Advanced Cardiac
- Fast paced high acuity and volume facility around 120 exams a day
- Collaborative Radiologist Group including Interventionalist and Neuro Interventionist
- Strong relationship with ED and Nursing
- Diploma in Nursing required or
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or
- BSN preferred
- Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign exchange equivalency required
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- One year of Radiology experience preferred
- Experience in ICU or ED with conscious sedation highly preferred
- RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
