Radiology Department Highlights

Here’s What You Need

Diploma in Nursing required or
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or
BSN preferred
Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign exchange equivalency required
One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
One year of Radiology experience preferred
Experience in ICU or ED with conscious sedation highly preferred
RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required

What You Will Do

Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

The Admissions Nurse is a member of the treatment team providing professional level of nursing care to patients under minimum supervision and consultation. Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Call the appropriate team member (e.g. Medical Director) to provide all non-life threatening medical and medication concerns to obtain guidance regarding their plan of action for the client. (In the event of a life-threatening emergency, all staff members are authorized to contact emergency services by dialing 911). Identify client care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and in partnership with other persons in a position to understand care requirements. Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to clients and families.
