As the school-based LPN, you’ll work exclusively onsite to support a student managing Type 1 diabetes. You will utilize advanced diabetes technologies, including the Dexcom continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and Omnipod insulin pump, while prioritizing vigilance, pattern recognition, and proactive communication. You’ll also rely on your clinical skills with manual blood glucose testing if symptoms diverge from device readings, and ensure all necessary technology and backup resources are maintained.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LPN/LVN license in the state of New Jersey
  • Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric environment highly valued
  • Familiarity and confidence using advanced diabetes technology such as Dexcom CGM and Omnipod insulin pumps
  • Reliable with manual blood glucose monitoring and understanding the importance of symptom-device verification
  • Commitment to onsite attendance during school hours (35 hours/week)
  • Clear communication skills and ability to document care and collaborate with school staff
