Our comprehensive benefits include: Medical and dental benefits Short- and long-term disability Life insurance Paid time off 401(k) program Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Vendor discounts Responsibilities Providing medical care, palliates and manages terminal illness in compliance with the state Nurse Practice Act under the supervision of a collaborating physician Completing history and physical examinations by evaluating the patient's medical condition and health history Completing the hospice face to face visit requirements prior to the third and subsequent hospice benefit periods to assess hospice eligibility based Making recommendations to the hospice medical director regarding patient eligibility for certification and recertification for hospice care Completing and maintaining accurate clinical notes Communicating with the physician and participating in interdisciplinary group meetings to meet the medical and emotional needs of the patient and family/caregivers Ensuring compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current DEA license, if applicable to state regulations Current nursing license in state of practice Current CPR certification Master’s degree with minimum of one year NP experience One year hospice or palliative care experience preferred Accreditation from an approved certifying body for advanced practice nursing as required by state of practice Certification in a specialist area preferred (e.g. Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN) or Geriatrics) Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence About our Line of Business At Oasis Healthcare, our primary ambition is to bring first-class care to the warmest and most serene environment possible: home. Experience No minimum experience required Preferred Qualifications 2 years of experience in pediatric healthcare preferred Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice or Master’s or Doctorate degree in Medical Science Education Master's degree in nursing or bachelor's degree in medical science Certification Summary Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia OR Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the state of Georgia OR licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Program (AANP), Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), (Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner may be acceptable with CNO approval) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants working in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Anesthesia, Hematology/Oncology, and Critical Care (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants working in Neonatology may provide NRP certification in lieu of PALS) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient knowledge of Georgia Scope of Practice for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants, Joint Commission regulatory requirements and Credentialing process of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Excellent communication (written, spoken & presentation), organizational, and interpersonal skills Demonstrates personal and professional integrity; collaborative and respectful behavior; flexibility and willingness to change Job Responsibilities Clinical Provide comprehensive patient care management within a collaborative practice model for children of all ages under the supervision of the supervising/collaborating physician within the scope of practice outlined by state statute and Children’s bylaws in the inpatient and/or ambulatory settings.
