  • Position: Per-diem
  • Hours:  Flexible Hours, Evenings & Weekends
  • Start Date: Immediately

As a Home Care PRN Infusion Registered Nurse (RN), you will experience a special energy and excitement from your work as you join a team of individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others. You will work in a growing, specialized area of the nursing field outside the walls of a hospital setting

As a Home Infusion Registered Nurse you will provide a broad range of infusion therapies in out patients’ homes while:

  • Compassionately taking care of patients in order to allow them to recover in the comfort of their own home by using your clinical IV capabilities and personal touch.
  • Skillfully providing one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
  • Assessing the patient’s condition and response to therapy, taking action as needed to facilitate achievement of treatment goals.
  • Establishing trust and building therapeutically effective relationships with our clients and their families.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NY
  • Two (2)+ years of experience working as an RN in a Critical Care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, ED, ICU, post-anesthesia care, or similar setting)
  • Experience with lab draws, IV infusions, and reconstitution of medications
  • Strong experience with working with a variety of pumps (CAAD, curling, etc) & troubleshooting issues that may arise
  • Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance/registration
  • Ability to handle specialty cases like IGG, IVIG, Solumedrol, etc.
  • Have and maintain current CPR / BLS certification
  • Knowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulations
  • Hold current Malpractice Insurance
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activity
