Education Requirement:

Master of Science degree or equivalent provision, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio, required.

Certifications:

Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci for the position, or PA, required.

The incumbent will practice collaboratively with Hematology/Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality care to pediatric transplant and hematology/oncology patients. Our Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers are experts at treating a wide range of conditions that can negatively impact a child’s comfort and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Performs comprehensive assessment of patients and families during inpatient admissions, outpatient visits, transplant evaluations, and follow-up care. Performs ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient status, treatment response, transplant-related complications, and revises plans of care accordingly. May use prescriptive authority, if appropriately credentialed, to manage supportive care, symptom management, and treatment-related needs. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, case managers, and other specialists involved in transplant and oncology care.
