  • RN licensure in Alabama Current certification from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.

  • Provides anesthesia care of all patients utilizing agents and technique established and recognized by:

              A.  Standards of care set forth by AANA and the AMA

              B.  Protocols of the Medical Director of Anesthesia

              C.  Policies and procedures of Southeast Health

  • Actively participated in the pre-op and post-operative assessment and documentation of patient states
  •  Successful completion of BCLS, ACLS preferred (annually)
  • Maintains pediatric case requirements as outlined by department protocols
  • Maintains certifications with anesthesia equipment including One Touch, Hemachron, TB fit testing
  • Annual completion of unit specific competency requirements
  • Maintains emergency airway skills, including trauma alert, code four, emergency airway management response
