The Registered Nurse (RN) at Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano in Plano, TX is responsible for providing, planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care and health education for patients in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and current standards of care. The RN will deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support patient healing, recovery, and rehabilitation goals.

RN Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient response.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders accurately and timely.
Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure quality patient care and workflow efficiency.
Participate in staffing assignments and coordinate nursing duties and time management for subordinate staff.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
Investigate, document, and report accidents, incidents, and patient concerns appropriately.
Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Assist in identifying and securing equipment and supply needs to support patient care.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives, staff education, and quality assurance activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
RN Requirements:
Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred.
Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills required.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
