Pay range for this position is $34.25-51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.


 

Shift Differentials:

  • 3rd shift - $4.00/hour
  • Weekends - $3.25/hour

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
  • Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: BSN
  • Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
  • Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency

How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
