What You'll Do

Deliver Compassionate Resident Care

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, and personal care.

  • Support residents during meals, activities, and daily routines while promoting dignity, independence, and engagement.

  • Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights.

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.

  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned.

Provide Safe Medication Support (Medication Aides)

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and delegated by nursing staff.

  • Accurately document medication administration according to community policies and state regulations.

  • Observe and report medication reactions, side effects, or changes in resident condition.

  • Perform medication cart audits, narcotic counts, and related medication management duties.

  • Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.

Promote Safety & Well-Being

  • Monitor residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional well-being and report concerns promptly.

  • Follow infection control, OSHA, and community safety procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.

  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers using proper safety techniques.

  • Encourage participation in social, recreational, and wellness activities.

Collaborate as Part of the Care Team

  • Work closely with nursing, dining, housekeeping, and life enrichment teams to provide holistic care.

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.

  • Maintain professional communication with residents, families, coworkers, and leadership.

What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Medication Aide certification required for Medication Aide positions (per state regulations).

  • Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or related experience preferred but not required.

  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.

  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
