30-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing care for the following patients
Post Interventional
Electrophysiology pre- post procedures i.e. ablations, pacemakers
Respiratory Failure
High acuity patients with a strong focus on cardiac care
Functions as a step-down intermediate care unit meeting the acute care patient needs.
EKG Class, ACLS and residency classes are provided.
Individualized, comprehensive program with a primary preceptor.
A floating charge nurse for support on every shift 7 days a week
Full time (72 hours biweekly)
Shift: 12- hour night
Every third weekend
Eligible for shift and weekend differential

Position Function: The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient/resident care treatments and tasks as delegated by licensed nurses and is accountable for his/her own action in performing duties as assigned and for which he/she is trained. Included is recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive and psychosocial changes unique to the age group served.

Assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, in accordance with established Care Plan. Ensures that all residents are out of bed according to established Care Plan. Interacts with residents, family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner. Additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan.
