Our unit is dedicated to providing high-quality care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Med Surg specializes in assessment, treatment, monitoring, and recovery of patients requiring medical management, post-operative care, telemetry monitoring, and interdisciplinary support. Our team is composed of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants who collaborate to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care focused on safety, healing, and positive patient outcomes. We pride ourselves on teamwork, communication, and advocacy for all. General Summary Provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing a variety of duties related to patient care. Takes patient vital signs, assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, toileting, etc.), inventories and replenishes supplies and equipment, and performs special assigned duties such as performing EKGs and Point-of-Care testing.
Schedule Full-Time: 40 hours/week Monday - Friday General Summary Responsible for ensuring patient-centered care in the ambulatory and inpatient care settings for patients with cardiac electronic devices such as pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, loop recorders and Holter monitors used for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. They will collaborate with Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Advanced practitioners, cardiac device technologists and other members of the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
CNA – Critical Care Unit 24-bed unit specializing in the care of critical patients. 24-hour intensivist/pulmonary/APP coverage. Individualized, comprehensive orientation program which includes the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO), EKG Class; ACLS certification and NIHSS certification. Dynamic Preceptors throughout your orientation program, individualized for each new candidate Leadership presence on every shift. Full time (72 hours biweekly). Shift: 6pm-6am (12-hour night). Every third weekend. Eligible for shift and weekend differential. Position Function: The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient/resident care treatments and tasks as delegated by licensed nurses and is accountable for his/her own action in performing duties as assigned and for which he/she is trained. Included is recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive and psychosocial changes unique to the age group served.
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) – Certified Nurse Aide – Full time 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing care for the following patients Post Interventional Electrophysiology pre- post procedures i.e. ablations, pacemakers Respiratory Failure High acuity patients with a strong focus on cardiac care Functions as a step-down intermediate care unit meeting the acute care patient needs. EKG Class, ACLS and residency classes are provided. Individualized, comprehensive program with a primary preceptor. Full-Time - 40 Hours Biweekly/ 1.0 FTE 5 8-hour shifts Monday thru Friday from 1500-0700. weekend commitment of 16 hours per 6-week schedule. General Summary Provides supervision of the daily operations and work activities of professional nursing and ancillary services staff on assigned unit. Able to support ongoing operations of department/unit independently as needed. Provides direct patient care as required.
