GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION:

Provides nursing care to residents in Memory Care community’s through assessment, planning implementations and reevaluation of resident needs. Manage nursing team by directing employees to provide a service that is in line with company’s vision: Protect, Engage, and Love people with memory loss. Carries out and interprets policies, procedures, local, state, and federal regulations. Provides person-centered physical and psychological support, care, and service to all residents and their families. Provides direct management to CNAs, and Resident Assistants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Assesses resident needs, and provides necessary nursing care as per resident's care plan.

  • Manage CNAs and Resident Assistants by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems, possess the authority to hire and terminate employment with accordance of HR established policy and process.

  • Ensures that resident rights are maintained.

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and per physician orders.

  • Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients upon admission;

  • Handles resident, family, or physician complaints/concerns, referring issues to CSD as necessary.

  • Respects advance directives and assists residents to a dignified death; and provides emotional and spiritual support to family and other staff as needed.

  • Responds to life threatening situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.

  • Participates in department and/or unit performance improvement activities.

  • Attends in-service training programs for department specific and other relevant programs, i.e., safety, infection control, orientation, etc., as scheduled.

  • Is aware of and carries out general community and specific departmental safety policies; always reports hazards/safety issues promptly.

  • Is aware of and practices principles of infection control; reports infection control issues promptly.

  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years of experience in a senior living community; a minimum of one year of experience in a management/supervisory position or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

CERTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE:

  • A current and valid Nursing License.

  • First Aid and CPR certification

 

  • Criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, as required by law

Private Duty Nurse (RN)

$40 - $50 / hour
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) in Harriman, TN area to administer patient care in accordance with a physician established care plan. This role is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care being provided at the patient’s residence. Patients range from weekly hours to 24-hour care. This allows for multiple scheduling options, from short visits on a weekly basis to full 12 hour shifts or a blend of both. Patients range from high acuity to those who only need basic medical management. Once our patients are accepted into the program, there is no expiration for this benefit, which allows our team of caregivers to build lasting relationships with their patients for years to come. You’ll get to advocate for the patients and work one-on-one to provide them with the care that they need. This role will collaborate with CNA’s, HHA’s, Case Managers, and the patient’s physicians. Shifts: Full-time. 36 hours. 3 days a week. 12 hour shifts. Friday, Saturday, Sunday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record. Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies. Good interpersonal skills Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients. Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions. Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home. Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end of life care. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN/LPN in a clinical or home health setting.
