Registered Nurse Supervisor Day Shift Monday through Friday

Ark Healthcare and Rehabilitation at St. Camillus, a 124 bed skilled nursing facility is seeking a 7-3 Registered Nurse Supervisor, Monday through Friday

Experience:

Long Term Care, 1 year (preferred)

License: RN License (Required) for the State of Connecticut

Responsible for the overall operation and quality of care for the residents on the assigned unit. Must be able to follow all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintain established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and the Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

Ability to read, write and comprehend English; the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Interest in the nursing needs of aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both.

Ability to work with facility staff in the performance of duties.

Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.

Minimum one year of education or experience in geriatric nursing or rehabilitation preferred.

Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including the administration of medications

CPR certified

Ensures that care plan is carried out which demonstrates familiarity with criteria to establish priorities specific to anticipated outcomes. Monitors the provision of care for the residents in his/her assigned unit. Interprets philosophy and objectives of nursing service to residents, families and others. Identifies resident/family learning needs based on the discharge care plan as applicable and carries out appropriate teaching required.
