Job Description:

Participates in direct patient care across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations, analyzing and interpreting patient-specific information to assess and reassess individual nursing care plans. Demonstrates critical thinking skills when interpreting changes in patients' immediate post-operative conditions. Communicates patient information to all appropriate caregivers to ensure effective continuum of care. Manages and interprets all patient monitoring devices in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment competently. Provides accurate, timely documentation, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver competent, effective, cost-efficient patient care. Participates in the revision and review of unit-specific policies and procedures, actively engaging in unit goals and performance improvement. Maintains appropriate infection control measures and ensures a safe patient environment. Assists in the care and maintenance of equipment and stocks the unit with supplies.
