Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the patient care delivery and workflow in the Emergency Department’s operations and environment. Directly supervises RN’s, Clinical Associates, department Technicians, Unit Assistants, and Support Staff in all aspects, including hiring/firing, performance evaluation and management, mentoring, scheduling, and addressing employee relations. Duties also include completing daily or shift specific quality audits and visibility boards, facilitating daily huddles with staff, leading staff/quality meetings, delivering quality patient-centered care in a fiscally responsible manner, and rounding with patients and families. This job may be required to work nights, weekend, and holidays.

Pay Range

Minimum $133,827 Midpoint $177,320 Maximum $220,792

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience. At least (1) year of clinical experience in the area they are applying. One (1) year of Charge nurse experience with demonstrated leadership skills preferred and/or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Over four (4) years of leadership experience managing in the healthcare industry. Four (4) years of experience in clinical specialty.

Education

• Required: Graduation from an accredited school of Registered Nursing. Bachelor's Degree required.

• Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school or Master's degree in healthcare-related field.

Training

• Required: None required.

RN); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Advanced Trauma Course Nursing (ATCN) may also be accepted in lieu of TNCC. Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) within 1 year of hire.

• Preferred: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN); Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN).
