Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus, located in Taylor, MI is a 40 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Responsibilities

The RN develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Required Skills:

Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities* The Pediatric Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care Unit (PCTU) is a 20 bed tertiary care center receiving patients from state, regional, national and international referrals. PCTU specializes in the medical and surgical care of infants, children, adolescents and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. Our goal is the provision of exemplary nursing care embracing a philosophy of family centered care empowering families to participate in the decision making and care of their children. The Pediatric Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care Unit nurse cares for patients in a technology intensive environment including ECMO, CRRT and VAD's. They are required to perform complex physiologic patient assessments in a high intensity environment for high acuity patients with rapidly changing status. Job Summary This position is a 6-month internship program which prepares the new Graduate Nurse for a Registered Nurse Position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit 5 (CVICU 5). Orientation includes a combination of classroom and precepted bedside clinical experience. A two (2) year commitment with a minimum of 36 hours per week (0.9 FTR) to the CVC5 ICU is required after the completion of the four (6) month internship program. This posting will be used to hire graduate nurse internship positions in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU 5). The position will have a start date in August 2026. Responsibilities* The Cardiovascular ICU (CVC 5) is a 10-bed adult intensive care unit caring for patients who have recently undergone cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. This unit specializes in coronary artery bypass, heart and lung transplantation, heart valve repair, ventricular assist devices and esophageal procedures as well as carotid re-vascularization and aneurysm repairs. Staff members collaborate with the Advanced Practice Team and are involved with patient/family conferences, patient care rounds, and referrals. Perform Charge nurse responsibilities as assigned. Assist in research studies and quality assurance activities. Required Qualifications* The candidate must be a Graduate Nurse or newly licensed in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. The candidate must not have yet practiced as a Registered Nurse. Successful completion of the NCLEX must occur no later than 45 days from the individual start date, for those hired as a Graduate Nurse. Must be able to start internship in August, 2026 This position requires standing/walking/positioning/pulling/lifting of heavy patients and objects for long periods of time.
