Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
  • Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
  • Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 6 months’ medical clinic experience.
