Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist PRN

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist to work swing shift and help meet the growing demand of our hospitalist program at Franciscan Health Crown Point. This is a high performing, well-respected group with a great culture of teamwork.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience with inpatient care and Internal Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills. Provider will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members to ensure delivery of the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Traditional PRN schedule
• Average inpatient volume: 16 – 20 patients per day
• Call responsibility: responsible for call from the floor and emergency department during shift
• No call responsibility after hours
• Average number of admissions: 5 – 6 per shift 
• Central line placement and intubation procedures experience preferred
• Will run codes
• Limited ICU Setting (All admissions require Pulmonary/Critical Care Consult)
• Crown Point has:
  • Operating Beds: 233
  • 16 ICU and 22 PCU beds (38 critical care beds)
• Strong collegial support from specialists

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree Required
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) – Required - or
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification – Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association – Required
