WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist to work swing shift and help meet the growing demand of our hospitalist program at Franciscan Health Crown Point. This is a high performing, well-respected group with a great culture of teamwork.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience with inpatient care and Internal Medicine, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills. Provider will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members to ensure delivery of the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

Traditional PRN schedule
Average inpatient volume: 16 – 20 patients per day
Call responsibility: responsible for call from the floor and emergency department during shift
No call responsibility after hours
Average number of admissions: 5 – 6 per shift
Central line placement and intubation procedures experience preferred
Will run codes
Limited ICU Setting (All admissions require Pulmonary/Critical Care Consult)
Crown Point has:
- Operating Beds: 233
- 16 ICU and 22 PCU beds (38 critical care beds)

Advanced Practice Provider, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant - Surgical Co-Management

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you are responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management. In this role, you will utilize advanced assessment skills and knowledge of clinical therapeutics to evaluate, diagnose and manage patients on the Hospitalist Surgical Co-management Service. The APP orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, therapeutic interventions and prescribes pharmacological agents as necessary. As an APP, you will maintain continuity of patient care through patient follow-up, monitoring of patient progress and modifying plan of care as necessary and per scheduling requirements. The APP applies knowledge of new technology and resources as per competencies obtained through the mentorship/proctoring of the surgical co-management attendings demonstrating advanced or specialized expertise. This role will be a part of a team of Advanced Practice Providers working in the Hospitalist Surgical Co-management space. This role will train with our team at the Hyde Park campus with involvement in onboarding with the following specialties Thoracic, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, and Vascular. Once competent, will be located primarily at Ingalls Memorial hospital in Harvey, IL. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
