Landmark Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU, CCU or med surg Registered Nurse to join our staff in our wound care department. The position is PRN, as needed.

The Wound Care Nurse operates within Landmark Hospital’s Core Values to provide in-depth clinical expertise in a defined area of nursing practice (e.g., wound care, wound ostomy). This role develops and ensures quality standards for nursing practice, as well as provides advanced clinical practice education. The Registered Nurse serves as a care consultant and provider for patients with various wound care needs and ostomy management. This role is accountable for collaborating with the health care team to define and communicate the expected patterns of care for our patient population in an effort to improve patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse also serves as a resource, leader, educator and role model for wound and ostomy management within our facility.
Applicants must be highly detail and goal-oriented with superior analytic, critical-thinking and time-management skills. You must have the ability to accurately assess patient conditions and to react quickly in emergency situations. You must also have a positive and empathetic personality with the ability to work effectively with others as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-stress environment. It is also vital that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and always display a professional attitude.
Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
- Providing care for patients and management of their conditions, with regard to vital signs and lab work
- Collaborating with Physicians and various disciplines within the hospital in order to manage patient care
- Assisting the medical staff with in-house procedures
- Interacting and communicating with patient family members
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse licensure.
- BLS and ACLS certification
