Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the island’s Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. Wilcox is the first American College of Surgeons-verified Level III Trauma Center in the state of Hawai‘i. Our Perioperative Services department provides full support throughout the duration of a patient's surgical procedure, spanning ward admission, anesthesia, surgery and recovery. Professional care services include identification of the patient’s individual needs, patient care plan development and implementation and the coordination of nursing service to restore each patient’s health before, during and after a surgical procedure.

As the Surgical Technologist, you will form part of our state-of-the-art Surgery department and help to provide life-changing surgery services. You will perform surgical scrub duties and maintain sterile techniques for all surgical procedures. You will also prepare the operating room, equipment and instruments for surgery while maintaining aseptic techniques. We are looking for someone with exceptional patient care and organizational skills, ability to carry out tasks effectively with minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
