At Highland Healthcare Center, we're looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). In this role, you'll work alongside the Director of Nursing to support daily clinical operations, mentor nursing staff, and help deliver exceptional, resident-centered care.

Your Role
Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily operations of the Nursing Department
Lead, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff
Assist with care planning, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional care
Conduct daily rounds to support staff, identify concerns, and promote quality outcomes
Assist with staff orientation, education, and professional development
Promote resident dignity, safety, and person-centered care
Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on teamwork and excellence
Provide leadership support throughout the facility as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Who We're Looking For
Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Long-term care experience preferred
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Passionate about providing exceptional resident care
