RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure that medications are given out according to the Physician’s orders.

  • Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all of Bickford’s policies and procedures regarding medication management.

  • Understand and appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.

  • Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.

  • Providing direct resident care Supervision of resident care work of non-licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate.

  • You will be a leader in demonstrating the Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ to all other team members on shift

Qualifications:

  • Have an active license as a LPN or Registered Nurse in good standing.

  • Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require for LPN/RN qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.

  • Competent in organizational and time management skills.

  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications. learn new applications

Position Title: LPN Respiratory Services - Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatric Respiratory - Full Time - Nights Department: Respiratory Care Job Description: Job Description Under general supervision, the Licensed Practical Nurse – Respiratory Services provides nursing care with an enhanced focus on respiratory‑related nursing tasks for patients with stable and predictable conditions. This role functions collaboratively with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to support safe, timely respiratory care delivery while maintaining clear professional scope boundaries. The LPN - Respiratory Services Role does not replace the Respiratory Therapist role and does not perform tasks requiring Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure. Essential Responsibilities Responsibilities listed are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, may result in disqualification. Core Nursing Responsibilities Assist with nursing assessment through data collection, observation, and obtaining vital signs. Provide care in accordance with an established nursing plan of care. Observe patient condition and promptly report significant changes to the RN and/or RT. Administer medications via approved routes per policy and provider order. Prepare patients for routine examinations and assist providers as needed.
