          Licenced Practical Nurse

  • Performs within the scope of their license, under the supervision of an RN (Registered Nurse).
  • Continually gathers data for assessing patients’ physical, psychological, social and educational needs 
  • Gathers data for developing and maintaining current patient treatment plan to include patient problems, goals, and interventions under the supervision of an RN
  • Delivers care based on acuity level, identified needs and physician orders
  • Prioritizes interventions to deliver safe, effective care in a timely manner
  • Administers treatments and diagnostic tests effectively and skillfully
  • Effectively evaluates the outcomes of interventions and implements necessary changes to care.
  • Assists other team members in providing care or performing procedures
  • Participates with other clinical departments in discharge planning.
  • Documents pertinent information objectively, accurately, and completely
  • Communicates patient care information to appropriate person(s)

Requirements:

  • LPN License (MO)
  • Minimum 1 -3 years  nursing experience , preferably in med surg /ICU/ER
  • Hospital experience
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Ability to assess patients quickly in emergency situations in stressful environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Team, detail and goal oriented
  • Positive, professional and empathetic demeanor
