NP or PA Provider - PM&R/ Physiatry

Overview

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Supervising Physician, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Provider (APP) provides primarily inpatient medical management and care coordination services for patients at the Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon (RIO), with additional support to outpatient clinic and hospital-based services.

This role emphasizes inpatient workflow management, admissions, discharge coordination, and provider support, with a secondary expectation of involvement in outpatient and consultative care as operational needs evolve.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • As required by State.

Experience:  

  • Requires experience in direct patient management, in the surgical or medical subspecialty of the department one is hired into. 
  • Surgical assisting experience required if working with a surgical specialty. 
  • Knowledge of acute and chronic disease states, administration and prescription of medications, and delivering physical care following treatment plan.

Licensure

  • Current applicable state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner or ability to obtain licensure upon date of hire.
  • Current BLS for Providers from the American Heart Association.
  • Must submit information necessary to complete a National Practitioner Data Base search and meet Legacy’s standards for results.

Pay Range

USD $72.84 - USD $94.95 /Hr.
