Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner who wants to practice medicine with a focus on patient care, not volume. We want our clinicians to take the time needed to truly address the patient’s needs.

Qualifications

Licensed as a NP in the State where HarmonyCares Medical Group office located
Federal DEA License/eligibility
Geriatric training/experience preferred
Active CPR/BLS Certification
Board Certification
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for primary care to patients acting as an assistant to physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. Administers medication and injections according to physician direction. Maintains and reviews patients' records, charts and other pertinent information. Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation. Performs diagnostic procedures (HSC, STP, Biopsies) and artificial insemination. Performs ultrasound for patients during morning monitoring. What is required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program. A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a clinic setting. Valid Nurse Practitioner License, ANA Certification. Strong Written and Interpersonal communication skills. OB-GYN REI experience is preferred but not required. Ultrasound and phlebotomy experience preferred.
