Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Responsibilities Responsible for providing technically complex and high risk nursing care services to patients which may include one or more of the following categories: conscious sedation, intravenous infusions, lumbar puncture, endoscopy procedures, central line placement, hemodialysis line placement, and interventional radiology procedures. This may also include specialized monitoring during procedure and recovery phase. Responsible for providing the planning and delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and patient advocacy as it applies to the patient undergoing designated procedures. Will identify the plan of care, provide education, and complete discharge planning and instructions for the patient. Will communicate with the medical staff continuously about patient condition.
