Caregiver Summary: The Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a Care Manager to provide personal care and support services that meet each client’s individual needs. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable federal and state law Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience • Current Washington State Home Care Aid (HCA) or CNA, NAC, NAR, certification or currently enrolled in an accredited course. • Current CPR certification preffered • Current physical and/or negative TB test, if applicable • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance • Minimum of one year of documented caregiving experience • Able to read, write and communicate effectively with clients, families and staff • Self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision • Genuine empathy for clients; treats clients, families and coworkers with courtesy and respect • Works well as a member of a care team and maintains confidentiality of client medical information • Willing to travel locally/regionally to client homes Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Proficient in knowledge in Daily Living ADL and IADL • Follow infection control precautions and use equipment properly and safely • Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergency situations • Promote a safe environment and quality care by following agency policies and procedures • Uphold client rights, including privacy, dignity, consent, and confidentiality of information.
