We are seeking a dedicated medical assistant with a proven track record in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting physicians. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical duties and procedures within the scope of practice according to NYS laws and practice protocols, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
  • Record patients' vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and sterilize equipment and supplies as per protocols.
  • Assist physicians/providers with clinical questions, prescription refills, test results, and patient calls according to practice protocols.
  • Prepare patient records for visits as directed by the physician/provider.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Demonstrated clinical competency, including proficiency in aseptic techniques, sterilization, practice management systems, EMR, and scheduling protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with basic keyboard proficiency

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Onsite - Ovid Primary Care - 2138 West Seneca Street Ovid NY 14521
  • Shift - (Per Diem) - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Range Disclosure:

  • $18.00 to $22.00 per hour

Certification/Skills: Use and care of standard clinic equipment Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program preferred Minimum Experience: Six months experience or completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program. Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
