Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. Utilizing the nursing care process, you will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs, ensuring a culturally competent continuum of care across various settings. Your role is pivotal in overseeing the interdisciplinary plan of care and aligning it with the medical treatment plan.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and physician to develop and implement patient care plans.
Conduct thorough assessments, identifying physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs.
Prioritize patient problems and establish goals for care and health promotion.
Provide patient education tailored to identified problems and goals.
Oversee and coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
Implement specific interventions and orders as per the care plan.
Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary revisions to the care plan.
Document all patient care activities according to standards and organizational policies.
Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to the patient care team.
Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license required.
American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire or transfer.
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at the time of hire, with training provided for incumbents.
2 years of medical/surgical and/or emergency room experience preferred.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
Minimum of 8 contact hours of education annually in basic trauma, stroke assessment, and stabilization.
ATCN or TNCC certification required within 24 months of hire or transfer.
PALS or ENPC certification attained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
CPI certification by 10/31/25 for existing team members, and new team members have 1 year from the hire or transfer date.

LICENSE: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi state license required. BLS required. EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years clinical experience including pediatric experience required; demonstrated leadership ability; strong organizational skills preferred. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, blood borne pathogens, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position includes considerable reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, extensive standing, sitting and walking, the majority of the workday. This position also requires lifting approximately 25-50 pounds frequently and 50-100 pounds occasionally with assistance. Periodic traveling to company off site locations is expected. This position requires heavy mental stress demands and the ability to handle large numbers of interactions with multiple individuals compounded by constant interruptions.
