Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and adaptable Medical Assistant to join our physician practice team. In this unique float position, you'll provide clinical and administrative support across several outpatient specialty clinics, including:

Internal Medicine
Pulmonology
Family Medicine
Orthopedics
Hand Surgery
Urology
Bariatrics

What You'll Do

Provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to physicians and advanced practice providers across multiple specialty clinics
Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic medical records
Assist with patient flow to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience
Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
Answer and direct phone calls while providing excellent customer service
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Assist with office procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Float between assigned specialty clinics based on departmental staffing needs

What You Bring

High school diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Previous medical office or clinic experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to multiple providers, specialties, and clinic workflows
