Job Description
The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to the pre-op through discharge from the Center. Sets and manages staffing schedule, oversees the day to day operational flow of patient care. Serves as a resource for clinical questions and patient care related issues as they arise. Works closely with the Administrator/Clinical Director, Nurse Manager, Medical Director and all staff. Provides leadership through example and sets the pace for an efficient, quality care focused, team oriented endoscopy center. Maintains a survey ready state.
Qualifications
Education
- Assoc. Degree/College Diploma - minimum
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing - preferred
Experience
- 5 years Nursing patient care experience - preferred
- 1 year RN leadership experience - minimum
- 1 year Experience in a hospital, ASC, Cath Lab, IR or ICU Setting - required
Licenses and Certifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS) - Upon Hire minimum If ACLS is through ARC, BLS is not required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Upon Hire minimum If candidate has AHA, BLS is required;
- RN State License - Upon Hire minimum Current RN license in the state of California
