At the Smidt Heart Institute, our heart rhythm specialists provide comprehensive cardiac electrophysiology care, including catheter ablation and cardiac device therapy, using a personalized, leading‑edge approach. Under the supervision of a Cardiac Electrophysiologist and within the Nurse Practitioner's competence, the Nurse Practitioner provides specialized services to clinical electrophysiology patients. This includes managing and treating cardiac rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other complex arrhythmias. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the planning and coordination of all aspects of the workup and care of patients referred to the electrophysiology service. Qualifications Education: Master of Nursing Degree. Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered. As a Registered Nurse on 8South you are responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care for the specialty patient population. You will provide patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
