Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in our Psychiatric Intervention Program, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to deliver culturally sensitive care across various settings. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. You will also ensure the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, aligning it with the medical treatment plan. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, identifying physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs.
- Develop and prioritize patient care plans, setting goals for health promotion and patient empowerment.
- Implement interventions and orders as per the care plan, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, reassessing and revising care plans as needed.
- Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring alignment with medical treatment.
- Provide leadership and support to other patient care team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a safe and secure patient care environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a BSN preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or a current multi-state license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for new hires.
- 2 years of medical/surgical or emergency room experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 8 contact hours of education annually in basic trauma, stroke assessment, and intervention.
- ATCN or TNCC certification required within 24 months of hire.
- PALS or ENPC certification attained within 12 months of hire.
- CPI certification required for existing team members by 10/31/25, and for new team members within 1 year of hire.
