    Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse (RN):

    • Perform wound assessments, reassessment, and management for all residents.

    • Create plan of care including goals, treatment, evaluation and outcomes of residents.

    • Provide education to residents, family, and staff regarding wound management, prevention, support, and other therapies.

    • Direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs and other nursing personnel.

    • Demonstrate knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage residents with wounds.

      Job Requirements of Wound Care Nurse (RN):

      • Must be a RN in good standing and currently licensed by the state where our facility is located (FL)

      • Minimum of one years experience in long-term care setting

      • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of teamwork.

      • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with staff.

Wound Care Nurse (RN) Weekends Only Provide Skilled, Compassionate Wound Management We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse to provide specialized care and support effective wound healing for residents. This role focuses on clinical accuracy, consistent documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes. About the Role The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for assessing wounds, developing individualized treatment plans, monitoring healing progress, identifying complications, and ensuring that all wounds are treated and dressed according to evidence‑based standards. This role supports residents through the full healing process with a focus on safety, precision, and consistent follow‑up. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and updated care plans for all skin impairments. Conduct weekly wound rounds with the wound consultant. Perform and document weekly wound measurements with accuracy and timeliness. Monitor and evaluate all new pressure‑related skin openings and determine root causes. Assess and manage surgical, arterial, venous, and other complex wounds. Ensure all treatments, changes, and follow‑up needs are documented thoroughly. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care procedures and expectations. Demonstrate wound care techniques to caregivers to support staff competency.
