- Screens patient and obtains pertinent information
- Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visit in accordance with age specific needs
- Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment
- Provides support to the clinic as needed
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required
Experience
- Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care
- Experience in office clerical activities desirable
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC
- CMA or RMA preferred
