Position Summary

The Vascular Access Registered Nurse provides expert peripheral intravenous (PIV), PICC line placements and other vascular access related tasks. This includes developing (as needed) and maintaining clinical expertise in the placement of PICC lines, teaching and mentoring RN's on the floors about basic IV care such as the use of safety catheters, being a clinical expert resource for the organization in vascular access issues and working closely with the staff to improve organizational access, flow and customer experience and assisting in the development of this new program. 

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 
* Current MN nursing license.
* BLS certification.
* Current 2-3 years of pediatric nursing experience.
* Current 2 years expertise in vascular access with children.
* Competent in assessment and treatment of VAD sites for all complications.
* Proficiency in ultrasound guided PIV placement, 1 year experience required.
* Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement experience in children required  
* VA-BC certification preferred.
* An informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Job Overview Riley Crossing senior living community located in Chanhassen, MN near Hwy 101 and County Road 212. Opened in 2019, it hosts 134 units of Independent, Assisted Living, Enhanced and Memory Care in total. This location also offers on-site intergenerational child care and interactive programming with our seniors. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring that the safety and health needs of the residents are met. This Nursing schedule includes; Casual/On Call Day or Evening shifts Must pick up three shifts a month; two being weekend shifts Responsibilities Maintains current assessment and documentation of resident health status: Performs initial and on-going assessments per the applicable Minnesota Assisted Living regulations and Nurse Practice Act. Ensures assessments are completed every 90 days per regulatory requirements. Works with resident and/or responsible party through collaboration, education, and timely communication to ensure appropriate service and placement.
