The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing support and coordinates with the analysis of patient needs in a clinic setting. Working under close supervision, this role assists with documenting patient information, processing recommendations, and handling various administrative tasks to assist in delivering quality patient care.
Essential Job Function:
- Assists healthcare professionals to deliver patient care by preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records.
- Processes recommendations from healthcare providers, such as medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
- Provides patient education and support by explaining treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient documentation, managing medical supplies, and assisting with medical billing and insurance claims.
- Supports medical professionals during appointments and clinic visits, providing crucial patient history information to best treat the patient.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and Diploma Practical Nursing.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure, successfully pass NC Nursing Boards for LPN and maintain a current and continuous unrestricted LPN License, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
