Qualifications:

  • Currently licensed in this state.

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

  • One year of MDS experience preferred.

  • RN preferred

Coordinate interdisciplinary team participation in the MDS process. Maintain an accurate MDS calendar and assessment schedule, including appropriate Assessment Reference Dates (ARDs). Review documentation to support accurate MDS coding and reimbursement. Complete MDS data entry and electronic submission. Verify successful electronic submission of assessments. Complete corrections and modifications when necessary. Maintain accurate and organized MDS records and supporting documentation. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, activities, and other interdisciplinary team members. Monitor assessment completion to ensure regulatory and facility deadlines are met. Assist with identifying changes in resident condition that may require an MDS assessment. Maintain knowledge of current CMS and regulatory requirements related to the MDS process.
