Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute is expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Main Campus designed to transform care for patients with complex neurological conditions, including spine injuries, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
This innovative facility brings every stage of neurological care together under one roof, creating an exceptional environment for patients, families and caregivers. The new space will feature dedicated areas for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown care, intensive care, epilepsy monitoring, additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services.
New Graduate RN Resident - Neuro:
Begin your nursing career in a supportive, specialized environment designed to help you succeed. Through a comprehensive residency program and dedicated mentorship, new graduate nurses gain the knowledge, confidence and experience needed to provide exceptional perioperative care.
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on surgery core learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
Document in patients’ medical records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience
Experienced RN - Neuro:
Provide direct nursing care to patients.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise individualized patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patient conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs.
Educate patients and families to support recovery and overall well-being.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
