Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Experience: At least one year nursing experience preferred.
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.

This position is scheduled to work 24.0 hours/week and 48.0 hours/pay period and is eligible for benefits. We utilize the team nursing model which allows you to work at the top scope of your nursing license. In addition to working with your primary registered nurse and patient care partner, your patients are supported by our multidisciplinary teams consisting of social work, care coordinators, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy and palliative care. The 2C nursing unit consists of 24 beds with central monitoring capabilities. Position Summary: Assist physician with duties necessary to support the needs of the practice working within and to the maximum scope of license Education, License & Cert: LPN ‐ license based on corresponding position location Experience: One‐year experience in healthcare field preferred but not required Essential Functions: 1. Directs patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam or treatment by identifying height, weight, respirations, blood pressure, temperature, additional testing, and records same on chart.
