Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN or LPN Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Haverhill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our 11pm-7am shift, ensuring the highest level of care and service to our residents. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Department Head to train department staff (new and current) to maintain skill levels and compliance with evolving mandates
Lead LPN Supervisor for department staff on process, supply, and team-related needs, including tactfully diffusing difficult situations
Role model for the department by promoting compliance with facility policies and procedures
Administer medication and treatments according to physician's orders
Assume responsibility for ordering medications
Transcribe, document, and implement physician's orders
Collect data to assist in nursing assessments during each shift
Give daily shift reports to CNAs assigned to the unit before the start of the shift
Review written daily assignments for each resident on the assigned unit
Assure assignments are completed before the end of the shift
Give and take nursing reports on assigned units, communicating essential information to appropriate parties
Make rounds on assigned residents at least once every two hours
Collaborate with the Care Plan Coordinator to develop and maintain nursing care plans and update these plans regularly and as the resident's condition changes
Attend and participate in interdisciplinary resident care conferences as requested
Assist the attending physician with rounds and special procedures as needed
Participate in the yearly written evaluations of nursing assistants and document accurately their strengths, weaknesses, and the steps that need to be taken to improve their performance
Assist Staff Development with orientation and on-the-job training for new nursing personnel as needed
Collaborate with the nursing supervisor in documenting disciplinary concerns for nursing assistants on designated shifts, including reprimands, oral and written warnings, and corrective action recommendations
Notify the nursing supervisor, resident's physician, and family of a change in the resident's condition or an accident/incident involving the resident
Assume any duties assigned by the RN Supervisor/ADNS to provide optimal quality resident care
Perform other related duties and attend meetings as may be deemed necessary by the Supervisor/Administrator and/or Director
Requirements:
1 year of experience as an RN or LPN
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures
Ability to lift and move residents as needed
Current RN or LPN license
Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate: $45 - $50
