RN MDS Coordinator at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, an 186-bed skilled nursing facility in Marlborough

As the RN MDS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care and services.

Weekly pay up to $53 an hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus available!*

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate MDS process, including assessing resident care plans, completing MDS reports, and transmitting them to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
• Oversee ADL training for facility and staff
• Issue and deliver denial notices timely and appropriately
• Complete and transmit all CMS-approved item sets (MDS)
• Ensure compliance with facility privacy policies and procedures
• Maintain Medicare meeting minutes and issue Medicare denial letters per CMS regulations
• Assure appropriate management of residents' Medicare/Insurance benefits
• Maintain adequate systems to ensure appropriate documents are sufficient to support billed services
• Perform other duties assigned by manager

Requirements:

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college or university
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such an action
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
