Job Overview

The Registered Nurse is expected to ensure the delivery of safe and quality patient care. Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures. The Radiology RN Coordinator is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs. Other Duties The Radiology RN Coordinator organizes and administers individualized, age-specific nursing care across Radiology with a primary focus on Interventional Radiology, IR and IV Access. The role ensures timely completion of IR exams and IV access procedures, validates appropriateness criteria for vascular access, maintains billing and work queues, and provides direct oversight of the IV Access Team. The RN Coordinator collaborates with the IR Manager to oversee work queues, run safety huddles, coordinate schedules, and provide backup leadership.
