Responsibilities

Provide public health education and promote disease prevention within the community.
Deliver direct patient care, including immunizations, family planning services, health screenings, and educational visits.
Support communicable and infectious disease surveillance, investigation, outreach, and case finding.
Participate in response efforts related to disease outbreaks, environmental hazards, and other public health concerns.
Collaborate with community organizations, schools, businesses, and coalitions to address population health needs.
Accurately collect, document, and maintain patient and public health data within medical record systems.
Support vaccine management, quality control reviews, and public health program compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

Nursing Degree (RN)

Experience:

2+ years of nursing experience.
Public Health experience preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.

Skills/Knowledge:

Demonstrated organization, communication, and documentation skills required.
Ability to use usual and customary equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
