You will supervise nursing staff, support interdisciplinary collaboration, ensure regulatory compliance, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment for residents. Responsibilities include: Provide high-quality, person-centered nursing care to residents. Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other assigned nursing staff, ensuring completion of resident care duties. Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, treatments, and other nursing interventions within the RN scope of practice. Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate significant findings to physicians and facility leadership. Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation and maintain resident medical records in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Ensure resident care plans are followed and communicate resident needs, preferences, and condition changes to the interdisciplinary team. Assist with admissions, readmissions, transfers, and discharge planning as needed. Provide wound care and oversee specialized treatments as prescribed. Maintain medication records, including narcotic counts, controlled substance documentation, and pharmacy orders. Promote infection prevention, resident safety, and compliance with established clinical policies and procedures. Respond promptly to resident needs, call lights, and emergency situations. Collaborate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, compliance training, and continuous quality improvement efforts. Travel to assigned Iowa facilities to provide clinical support as needed. What We're Looking For Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current CPR certification. Ability to travel throughout Iowa with reliable transportation. Strong knowledge of nursing practice, resident care, and long-term care regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred experience: At least one year of RN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting. Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience.
