Description

The Bowling Green Veterans Center, a 24/7 long-term care skilled nursing facility dedicated to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is responsible for caring for the Veterans of the Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Performs nursing duties under direction of a Medical Director, Registered Nurse Advanced Practitioner, or Registered Nurse.
  • Prepares, administers, and documents oral and intramuscular medication. Initiates and maintains intravenous therapy. Ensure adequate supply of medical and treatment supplies.
  • Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the LPN clinical skills.
  • Documents appropriately on all required clinical forms. Inputs Physician’s orders into Electronic Health Record (Point Click Care).

This position, in org unit 10204688, Warren County has an approved Locality Premium of $6.27 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary:

  • Second and Third shift: 15%
  • Weekend and Holidays: 25%
