This NP Agreement will describe the NP’s role and function, NP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the NP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities and Evaluation process.Overall, the NP will support objectives, budget, performance metrics and medical activities at an Individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.

Xray testing for diagnosis of fractures, infections and skeletal dislocation. • Application of splints, immobilizers, slings, ice or heat therapy. • ACLS protocol may be initiated to the full extent of available equipment depending on client condition and judgement of the ARNP at the particular time and situation. • Pharmacologic measures the ARNP may initiate, dispense, monitor and alter or order: - Over the counter drugs. - Prescription drugs in the following categories: - Anti-imflammatories, non-steroidal and steroidal antibiotics and antimicrobials (oral, topical, and injectable), non-narcotic analgesia, vaccinations, laxatives, emergency drugs per ACLS protocol, anithistamines, antiemitics, local anesthesia both topical and injectable, antispasmotics, bronchial dilators, metered dose inhalation therapies, anti-tussives, decongestants, expectorants, otic and opthamalogic preparations including cerumen softeners, antibiotics, steroids, and anesthetics, topical steroids, anti-fungal; creams, lotions, and ointments, muscle relaxants, antihyperentensives, diurectics, oral hypoglycemics, and injectable hypoglycemics, injectable insulin preparations, thyroid replacement therapy, vitamin therapy, Iron therapy and antacids. • Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Demonstrate accurate documentation and monitoring of activities as needed. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the standards and initiatives set by the department. • Follows CDC isolation guidelines, infection control practices, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, conducts handwashing according to policy and enforces safety regulations. Department 10133 Primary Care Obesity Pay Range $110,052.80 - $183,414.40 The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is credential by the medical staff and functions within their scope of practice in their jurisdictional area and in accordance with organizational medical staff bylaws. They are responsible for providing evidenced-based care for the management of patients, including assessment, implementation and evaluation of a detailed plan of care, which incorporates diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The APP demonstrates competency in providing age-appropriate care to patients as defined by certification and training and provides family centered care to meet family needs, including psychological support, education and discharge planning in conjunction with other related disciplines. The APP initiates, participates and collaborates with divisional and organizational multi-disciplinary staff to provide and support evidence-based education, quality improvement and research. They participate in professional and organizational activities that contribute to improving patient care, the scientific knowledge base of advanced practice, program operation, and individual professional development. The APP provides leadership within their respective clinical area through participation in division projects and mentorship of others. They contribute to department and organization wide initiatives, representing advanced practice and promoting the role of the advanced practice provider. Acts as a clinical resource for staff in patient care issues. Provides formal/informal educational presentation to staff on areas of expertise. Participates and leads quality improvement initiatives in their department. The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children’s National believes an individual’s base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children’s National compensation philosophy.
