Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Educator collaborates with clinical educators, nurse specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation, education, competency, and professional development programs. This role supports evidence-based practice, staff competency, and high-quality patient-centered care while serving as a clinical leader and mentor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver education, orientation, and training programs for nursing and clinical staff.
  • Assess learning needs and address competency gaps through targeted education and remediation plans.
  • Support implementation of new processes, equipment, and evidence-based practices.
  • Coordinate department-specific orientation for new hires.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness, caregiver engagement, and quality outcomes.
  • Maintain training and competency documentation in learning management systems.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing practice.

Qualifications

Required

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS, ACLS certification upon hire.
  • 3+ years of RN experience.
  • 3+ years of recent education, staff development, or equivalent preceptor experience.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Education
  • Nursing Professional Development Certification.
