Job Summary: Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Freehold Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am - 7:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.
 

Medical Assistant

  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
  • Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
  • Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
  • Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
  • Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
  • Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
  • Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
  • Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
  • Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

  • Dermatology experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
  • Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
  • Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range: $18 - $22

Virtual Care Medical Assistant

Job Details Description Position Summary: Position is responsible for both clinical and administrative functions. Assists physicians with patient care and handling scheduling, entering charges and billing for services. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinical services. May be required to float to another office location. Experience Required: Minimum one year recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant (MA) and or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office. Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, and EMR experience required. Education Required: Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited program. Appropriate certification. License and Credentials Required: N/A Skills Required: Effectively communicates with patients, physicians and co-workers. Performs Medical Assistant tasks appropriately. Skill in understanding patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families. Hours: full-time 80 hours per pay period This position is grant funded and aligned with a specialized program initiative. Ongoing employment is contingent upon continued program funding and organizational need. The grant approved annual salary for this position is $62,500.
