Make a meaningful difference each school day by providing dedicated, one-on-one support to a student in an essential skills classroom. This engaging role enables you to directly impact a child’s wellbeing and educational experience in a supportive school environment. You’ll work close to Lizton, Indiana, with a daily schedule of 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM following the academic calendar. This contract opportunity begins August 5, 2026, and reports to the school principal and Director for Special Education.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications via G-tube following medical protocols and school guidelines.
- Perform frequent suctioning as needed, working closely with healthcare staff.
- Assist with oral feeding and hydration, prioritizing safe swallowing and monitoring intake.
- Support toileting needs, always upholding student dignity and comfort.
- Help with lifting, positioning, and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Monitor and document health status, sharing updates or concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for your student.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license.
- Experience with children who have complex medical needs (preferred).
- Knowledge of G-tube care, suctioning, and feeding assistance (preferred).
- Ability to safely assist with physical tasks, including lifting and transfers.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
